PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Using an applied research, learner-focused, and adult
learning theory approach, the Education Specialist degree in
Instructional Technology develops advanced expertise
and proficiency necessary to function in an instructional technology
role within a variety of organizations and educational settings. Numerous
learner audiences are served by this program. The
educational outcomes of the program are:
- Employ advanced skills in managing and using
instructional/information technologies
- Provide pedagogical expertise in using a variety of technologies
in a variety of contexts
- Demonstrate effective communication/interpersonal/group dynamics
skills in diverse settings
- Develop and implement facility designs that support technology
use in instructional programs
- Evaluate and apply techniques and processes for decision making
and implementing change
- Model and promote ethical, legal, and equitable use of
instructional technology
- Conduct, support, and apply research concerning technological
applications in instructional environments
- Assume an influential leadership role in the planning,
selection, implementation, evaluation, and management of a variety
of instructional technologies
