Applicants must meet the College of Education and University
requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- at least 3 years of related work experience
- a combined score of 850 or higher on the verbal and quantitative
portions of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or 36 on the Miller's
Analogies Test (MAT)
- an average of 3.0 or higher on all graduate work attempted
Students who completed a Master's degree in education or related
fields are given preference for acceptance to the program. Others who have professional and academic
backgrounds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The department reserves the right to interview any or all
applicants prior to admission.
Only coursework completed after admission to the specialist program may transferred
into the program. With department approval,
6 hours of graduate credit from another institution
may be transferred into the program.
