About the Journal
Action Research Exchange (ARE) is an online forum for disseminating information gathered as a result of action research related to education and training. Currently, articles reflect the process and results of action research thesis studies conducted by Valdosta State University graduate students who are in the Ed.S. Instructional Technology program. In the future, the journal will expand and consider articles written by authors outside the program.

The research reported in ARE was conducted in the researcher's workplace with the intention of reporting findings back to stakeholders within that workplace. For this reason, articles may have a less formal tone than many research journals.

A faculty committee in the Department of Curriculum and Instructional Technology supervised the research and reviewed each article manuscript prior to its acceptance for publication. Before any action research projects were approved, each researcher completed a literature review on a topic related to the study. Several of the literature reviews have been included in the journal. Others are available by contacting individual authors.
